This produces higher levels of workability for\nthe same water content, allowing benefits such as water\nreduction and increased strengths.\nTechnical support\nFosroc provides a technical advisory service for on-site\nassistance and advice on mix design, admixture selection,\nevaluation trials and dispensing equipment.\nDosage\nThe optimum dosage of Conplast P505(T) plasticiser to meet\nspecific requirements should always be determined by trials\nusing the materials and conditions that will be experienced\nin use. The normal dosage range is 0.4 to 1.0 litres/100 kg of\ncementitious material, including PFA, GGBFS or microsilica.\nUse at other dosages\nDosages outside the normal range quoted above can be\nused to meet particular mix requirements. Fosroc shall be contacted\nfor advice regarding suitable equipment and its installation.\nEffects of overdosing\nAn overdose of double the intended amount of Conplast\nP505(T) plasticiser will result in a significant increase in\nretardation as compared to that normally obtained at the\nintended dosage. Provided that adequate curing is\nmaintained, the ultimate strength of the concrete will not be\nimpaired by increased retardation and will generally be\nincreased. The effects of overdosing will be further increased\nif sulphate resisting cement or cement replacement materials\nare used.\nOverdosage may also cause increased air entrainment, which\nwill tend to reduce strength.
